GCC Safety Regulations

The Arab states of the Persian Gulf are the seven Arab states which border the Persian Gulf, namely Kuwait, Bahrain, Iraq, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. All of these nations are part of the Gulf Cooperation Council. Through a general consensus these countries modelled their Health and Safety Laws from OHSAS 2007: 18001 standards. So prior to getting into the particulars for each country, we will review the OHSAS 18001 standard. In this course all the relevant rules and regulations pertaining to these countries are discussed. OHSAS 18001
OHSAS (Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series) 18000 is an international occupational health and safety management system specification. OHSAS comprises of two parts, 18001 and 18002, and embraces a number of other publications. It is intended to help an organization to control and manage its occupational health and safety risks.
